About Elevation Studios

Elevation Studios is located in Highfields at approx 700m elevation. It was created to elevate people’s health and well-being. 

Highfields and Toowoomba are known for it’s parks, greenery and slower pace – this led us to create this space, just for you.

We offer a range of options for all health journeys and partner with MET Phys to provide a quality health and fitness service.

ELEVATE

Our Elevate Pilates classes are designed to lift and align your mind, body and spirit. 

Through a series of controlled movements using our beautiful reformer machines and props, you’ll focus on strengthening your core, improving your flexibility, and enhancing your overall posture. 

Expect to be uplifted, with increased mental and physical balance, and a renewed sense of vitality. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, this class will leave you feeling stronger, taller, and more centred.

fundamental

The Fundamentals Class is perfect for beginners, focusing on getting familiar with the reformer and learning the basics of Pilates.

It emphasises posture, form, breathing, and controlled movements to build strength, flexibility, and core stability while developing proper technique.

BONE STRENGTHENING

This pilates class is built to improve your strength and bone density. We require all attendees to undergo an initial assessment with MET Phys’ Exercise Physiologist to ensure we understand your needs, your body’s needs and your goals. By using the Pilates reformer machine, you’ll work on building strength, toning muscles, and improving body alignment.

You can expect to perform various strength exercises that utilize the reformer’s springs and straps to add extra resistance and challenge.

By the end of the class, you’ll feel an invigorating sense of strength and confidence and appreciate the total body movement this dynamic workout brings.

FLOW

Flow is a nourishing class designed to lengthen, release, and restore your body and mind. Through a carefully curated sequence of gentle, flowing movements on the Reformer, you’ll unwind layers of tension, promote mobility, and bring ease into areas that often hold stress. This class invites you to move with awareness and intention, creating space for both physical and mental release.

Unlike our faster-paced offerings, Flow provides a welcome pause, a chance to slow down and reconnect with your breath and body. You’ll experience a calming rhythm of mindful movement, interwoven with moments of stillness to help regulate and balance your nervous system. A soothing 5–10 minute guided meditation and savasana at the end will leave you feeling peaceful, grounded, and deeply restored.

Flow is suitable for all abilities ,whether you’re new to Pilates or a seasoned practitioner seeking more balance in your routine. This is your time to move gently, breathe deeply, and honour what your body needs. Step away from the hustle and return to yourself with this nurturing and restorative class experience.

Meet Christel

Reformer Pilates Instructor

Christel has relocated to Australia in 1987 from Germany and after living in Central Queensland for several years has settled in Toowoomba in 1997.

Christel has been a Fitness Professional and Personal Trainer for 25 years and brings a wealth of experience to the Studio. She specialises in group exercise classes for older adults in an aquatic environment as well as on land and has a passion for women’s health including pelvic floor and menopause.

Her love for Pilates has led her to qualify for Mat and Reformer Pilates as well as Pilates for backpain using equipment like the ball and circle.

Fun facts about Christel:

  • Recently has transitioned to an electric car and loving it.
  • In her spare time walks her dogs and plants native trees.

Meet Steph

Reformer Pilates Instructor

As a former Executive Assistant with over 30 years of office life behind her, Steph has always sought ways to keep fit and flexible – from Jane Fonda, Step to Jazzercise she has tried them all.

After a tip-off from a very ‘Friendly’ celeb she finally discovered Mat Pilates over 12 years ago, immediately falling in love with a fitness regime that worked – incorporating body sculpting with strength at the same time protecting the body from injury.

Five years of Reformer Pilates complementing Mat Pilates, Steph decided to take the challenging decision to train as an instructor so she could share her passion.

As a more mature instructor, Steph is keen to promote Pilates to the older generation but loves that her classes are attracting all ages.

This is just the beginning for Steph as an instructor. She is constantly learning and improving her skills.

When not teaching, Steph is a hands-on Grandma to 3 incredible little people, is involved in the community or planning exciting trips with her husband.

Meet Ellie

Reformer Pilates Instructor

Ellie believes that Pilates is more than just a workout, more than just feeling the burn (though you’ll get both those), she believes Pilates is a journey of self-awareness and self-discovery, an investment in your body and your mind.

She will help you truly connect to your Centre… your upper back, stomach, waist, deeeeep lower back and hip muscles will be all working in symbiosis to provide you with stability and strength, as well as with your inner self.

With her uncanny ability to identify physical imbalances in your body (some clients are sure she has x-ray vision!), Ellie will take you through a workout that will iron out those kinks to have you feeling longer, stronger and most importantly, more like the real you.

Her love affair with Pilates started over 20 years ago. After her first class, Ellie was instantly addicted and devised a plan to get as much Pilates in her life as possible. This passion quickly led her to her first Pilates teaching certificates and then onto completing a further 600+ hours of training with Pilates International Training Centre.

Join Ellie as she collaborates with the Pilates Professional Academy for a six-month mentorship program for aspiring pilates instructors.

Meet Molly

Reformer Pilates Instructor

Molly is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Exercise Scientist, Reformer Pilates Instructor, Yoga Teacher, and Nervous System Educator with a special interest in women’s health – particularly perimenopause, pelvic health, strength and longevity. With over a decade of experience across the exercise space, mind-body modalities, and therapeutic movement, she helps women reconnect with their strength, resilience, and nervous system.

Her work blends evidence-based clinical practice with embodied education – integrating breathwork, Pilates, yoga, somatic movement, and strength training. Whether she’s supporting women navigating hormonal shifts, creating programs for osteoporosis or diabetes, or mentoring new instructors, she focus on one thing: empowering people to reconnect with their bodies, and move with purpose and confidence.

Meet Gemma

Reformer Pilates Instructor

Gemma’s fitness journey began at a young age, with over 10 years of experience in competitive gymnastics. This foundation gave her a deep understanding of movement and discipline, shaping her passion for fitness and wellness. After completing her Certificate III and IV in Fitness, she decided to take that passion further by pursuing a degree in Exercise Physiology. Now, as she nears the completion of her first year at university, she’s more inspired than ever to help others reach their fitness goals.

She discovered Reformer Pilates about two years ago and instantly fell in love! The combination of strength, flexibility, and control that Pilates offers felt like a natural extension of her gymnastics training. Pilates has become a way for her to challenge her body while also focusing on mindful movement, and she’s excited to share this transformative practice with others.

In her spare time, you can find her at the gym, or the beach, walking, or looking for new ways to stay active and inspire others on their fitness journey.

Meet Keara

Reformer Pilates Instructor

Keara is a Pilates instructor with over four years of experience, a Certificate III in Fitness, and a Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences. She’s currently in her final years of medical school and has recently made the move from Brisbane to Toowoomba.

Keara first discovered Pilates at age 12 to support a weak back during competitive netball, and it’s been a part of her life ever since. She loves how Pilates builds strength while offering a space to slow down and reconnect.

Her classes are known for delivering a burn with time to reset, using layers to suit all fitness levels so everyone feels welcome and challenged. When she’s not instructing (or studying), you’ll find her trail running around Toowoomba, or surfing and camping with friends.

Reformer Pilates is a form of Pilates performed on a specialized piece of equipment called the Reformer, which consists of a flat platform (the carriage) that glides back and forth on wheels. It uses springs, straps, and a footbar to create resistance and support, allowing for a wide variety of exercises that target strength, flexibility, balance, and core stability.

We offer a range of flexible options to suit your needs. For those looking to attend consistently, we provide tiered membership plans designed to accommodate different schedules, from a couple of sessions per week to daily attendance. If your availability is less regular, we also offer class packs in bundles of 5, 10, or 20 sessions, providing flexibility and convenience.

Great news! We offer a two-week unlimited package, giving you the opportunity to attend as many classes as you’d like within 14 days and experience the incredible benefits of Pilates for yourself. This offer is only available to individuals who have not visited us before.

In collaboration with MET Phys, we provide one-on-one sessions (eligible for private health rebates) or small group sessions led by an accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP). The AEP will work with you to set personalized goals, guide you through Pilates movements, and build your strength and confidence, preparing you to join our vibrant community in group classes.

You can join at any time; we only require four weeks’ written notice to cancel your membership.

Our memberships are ongoing and automatically roll over, allowing you to continue your Pilates journey seamlessly. If you wish to cancel, we kindly ask for four weeks’ written notice.

The easiest way to book classes is through our app, available on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store by searching for “Elevation Studios.” With the app, you can book classes, purchase class packs or memberships, buy Pilates socks, and stay updated with our latest news and class information.

While we currently don’t have full-time staff solely dedicated to Elevation Studios, we regularly monitor Messenger and emails and strive to respond as quickly as possible. For urgent matters, please contact the MET Phys front desk at 4599 3165.

All of our instructors are fully trained and accredited in Reformer Pilates. They regularly undertake professional development to ensure they provide the highest quality instruction. This guarantees that classes are led by skilled professionals who prioritise proper cueing and form, keeping you safe and supported throughout your session

Yes, we offer a family membership that allows you to share classes with your chosen family members using the app.

You’ll need a pair of grippy socks to get started. If you already have some, that’s perfect! If not, we offer a great range of reformer Pilates-specific grippy socks, ideal for both studio and home use. Be sure to wear comfortable, form-fitting exercise clothing that allows you to move freely and perform all types of movements without restriction. Avoid loose or overly revealing clothing to ensure comfort and confidence during your session.

If you cancel your class booking less than 12 hours before the scheduled start time, one class will be deducted from your membership. This policy helps ensure others have the chance to book your spot if it becomes available.

No, Elevation Studios is proudly owned by Sarah and Michael, local residents of Highfields. It is an extension of MET Phys and reflects their passion for encouraging people to move and connect in meaningful ways.
